After your tenancy has ended and you decide to vacate your property, you are entitled to receive your deposit back using the Deposit ID and certificate issued to you when you first moved in.

Before your deposit is returned to you, the property is assessed by an independent inventory clerk who will compare the state of the property to the condition it was when you first moved in. If there has been significant damage done to the property and/or it has not been professionally cleaned (including carpets) these costs will deducted from your deposit.

These deductions will be logged with the DPS who protect all our deposits. If you do not agree with the deductions then the DPS will require evidence from both parties to arbitrate on who is owed the money.

After deductions (if any) are agreed between us, then the DPS will release your deposit to you straight away.
